Supporting You Every Step of the Way

With nearly two decades of experience as an NHS midwife, I am passionate about helping parents and parents-to-be feel supported, listened to, and empowered.

Whether you're embarking on pregnancy for the first time or navigating a journey after baby loss or past trauma, I am here to guide you with compassionate care tailored to your unique needs.

"Tessa supported me to get from a place of such fear and worry to a place of such clarity and joy. I birthed my son feeling totally empowered. She really is the kindest angel I have ever met. Thank you helping me advocate for myself."

About

Hello, I'm Tessa

Experienced, Thoughtful Care You Can Trust.

I’ve spent almost 20 years as a midwife within the NHS, helping parents through some of the most transformative moments of their lives. My passion for midwifery extends beyond medical care — I am deeply committed to supporting emotional well-being during the perinatal period.

Having also personally experienced pregnancy after loss, I understand the emotional complexities that can arise, and I am here to provide the kind of support I know can make a difference.

I specialise in supporting parents who have a history of mental health challenges, and I am particularly experienced in working with those who are feeling anxious about pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. My goal is to help you feel empowered and prepared for the incredible journey ahead.

I currently work at a busy NHS Trust in London and live in Surrey with my husband and two young sons. Becoming a mother myself has added a deeper level of compassion, understanding and awe when it comes to pregnancy and giving birth.

In October 2024 I became an ambassador for the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, a position and role that I feel very proud of. I’m determined to make positive changes for people in need.

Dani explored the topic of anxiety in pregnancy which included meeting a variety of different parents who struggled with perinatal anxiety and she also met with me to see how a specialist midwife can support someone who is experiencing these symptoms.

Kind Words

“I have worked with Tessa for many years within the maternal mental health service. She is a senior, experienced midwife which allows her to support women through all aspects of their pregnancy and postnatal journey. She is kind, empathetic, and compassionate and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to any family looking for additional support and guidance through their pregnancy and beyond.”
